Advanced Newborn Patient Simulator

Advanced Newborn Patient Simulator

The Gaumard SUPER TORY S2220 is the first newborn simulator developed to meet the challenges of neonatal care specialist training in real environments.

Every visual assessment provides a wealth of health information.

That’s why SUPER TORY features lifelike limb and facial movements and programmable skin coloration that can simulate the range of visual cues seen in ill and healthy newborns.

The breakthrough respiratory system design in Super TORY accurately responds to mechanical ventilation support like a real newborn while making it possible to adjust pulmonary function on the fly. Simply tap the UNI 3 controls to decrease dynamic lung compliance and see the change from uniform chest rise, visible with as little as 15 cmH2O, to the high recoil associated with stiff lungs. These advanced features allow Super TORY to simulate the progression of respiratory disease through treatment, weaning, and rehabilitation with the highest degree of physiological accuracy.

> Active movement
> True ventilator support
> Real patient monitoring
> All-day battery life

Celebrating Healthcare Simulation Week 2025: United Through Simulation

Healthcare Simulation Week 2025 takes place from 15–19 September, with the theme United Through Simulation. This global initiative celebrates the power of simulation to transform healthcare improving safety, effectiveness, and efficiency for patients everywhere.

At Norso Medical, we’re proud to support the simulation community with a wide range of innovative solutions. From cutting-edge patient simulators to specialist training systems, our portfolio helps healthcare professionals across Ireland build confidence, refine skills, and deliver safer care.

Automatic Data Transfer

Masimo Iris Gateway

Automatic data transfer from medical devices into Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) could improve productivity and reduce the likelihood of transcription errors. Existing approaches for device connectivity can clutter the patient room, burden IT management, and increase the complexity and cost of care.

Automating healthcare can give skilled clinicians the time and tools to consistently deliver optimal care at a lower cost. Masimo’s approach to automating care is intended to help healthcare systems:

> Improve patient outcomes

> Increase patient satisfaction

> Maximise resources for patient care

> Decrease variability

> Decrease errors of omission

> Simplify care delivery

> Reduce costs

International Neonatal Nurses

Today we would like to recognise and honour the vital work of neonatal nurses who provide specialised care for newborn infants, particularly those who are sick or premature.

Premature babies can have specific problems such as respiratory difficulties or nutritional needs that can be life threatening. Neonatal Nurses are a crucial part of the team that ensures that treatment is given promptly and appropriately.

Providing 24-hour care, Neonatal Nurses work across intensive care, high dependency and special care baby units and in community settings, providing continuing care and support for babies and their families who have been recently discharged from hospital.

International Neonatal Nurses Day is an opportunity to momentarily stop and reflect on the incredible hard work and dedication demonstrated by neonatal nurses around the world every day.
